Bridal Boudoir

and why you should consider it

What Is Bridal Boudoir?

Bridal boudoir is an intimate form of professional photography in which a bride poses while wearing revealing clothing. Because the photos are meant to evoke an intimate, physical feeling, wearing lingerie (or going completely naked, if you're comfortable with it) is common during a boudoir photo shoot.

Here, few reasons why you should consider a pre-wedding boudoir session

The most important reason is to celebrate you!

Most people assume that a boudoir wedding shoot is a gift for the other partner, but actually it’s a gift for you. It is a great way to celebrate yourself, to create some amazing photographs that reflect just how vivacious and incredible you really are.

Boudoir photography is EMPOWERING.

I hear it from every single happy bride after seeing their first sneak peeks. It is a great way to boost your self-confidence before a wedding day and helps you to see your own beauty and power as a creature of desire.

It allows you to connect with your wedding photographer (aka me) on a completely different level.

Bridal boudoir is an intimate experience between you and me , requiring a lot of guidance and trust. The sessions that I have photographed for my brides-to-be have enabled us to connect on a deeper level, which in turn makes brides even more comfortable with me on their wedding day. The more trust, the better the images are as a result.

It's an excuse to go lingerie shopping.

Between securing the venue, caterer, band, and officiant (the list goes on and on...), planning your wedding can be all-consuming. Sometimes a bride-to-be just needs a break. And what better way to spend some well-deserved downtime than lingerie shopping? After all, you're going to need a few pretty little things for your wedding night and honeymoon anyway.

The most common reason for a bride-to-be to schedule a boudoir photo shoot is to use the final portraits as a wedding gift for her partner on the big day.

The photos can be presented in the form of individual prints, a hardcover album, or a private gallery link.

You can try out your hair and makeup that day right before the shoot. It will give you a glance at what you will look like as a bride on your special day.

I can keep going on and on about all the reasons why you should think about including bridal boudoir in your wedding package, but there’s never will be enough words to describe until you actually get to experience it.

FAQ

Are you posting my images on social media?

A. I respect your privacy – and my brides trust me. I never show your photographs to anyone without your permission. The subjects in all of the sample images you see have given me permission to show the photographs to others.

How do you protect my gallery?

A. You will receive a password to access a gallery and a separate pin to be able to download your images.

When to schedule a boudoir shoot?

A. Your boudoir session can be scheduled anytime before your wedding day, but I'd recommend taking the portraits about one or two months out. This is the sweet spot when most of your wedding planning details have been finalized, which means you hopefully won't be too stressed by your remaining to-do list, and you'll still have plenty of time to focus on last-minute tasks leading up to the big day. It also leaves enough time for me to order prints or create an album to give your partner as the perfect wedding gift. If you're really on top of things, consider scheduling the boudoir session for the same day as your wedding hair and makeup trial (about five or six months before the big day) so that you're already looking and feeling fabulous.

Where do you shoot a boudoir session?

A. Normally we can do it in a comfort of your own home with my portable studio. If it doesn't look like a good idea for some reason, I can find a gorgeous and suitable any budget airbnb.

What do I wear for a bridal boudoir photo session?

A. The short answer? Whatever you want! Your bridal boudoir photography outfit(s) will depend on your comfort zone—don't force yourself to wear sexy lingerie if it feels too unnatural, or if you're only doing so because you think you should.

I’m not in my perfect shape, would I still look good on images?

A. Girl, when do you ever hear a woman saying that she is in a perfect shape? Never! It doesn't matter what size, shape or age you are, you are beautiful and I’ll make sure to highlight that beauty in the best possible way.

Every woman is very different and has something fabulous to capture.

What investment are we talking about?

A. I’m including bridal boudoir shoot in several wedding packages, if you’re looking to book me separately, packages start from $500 and fully customizable.
